2018 Buick Enclave To Be Priced From $39,995

Buick has quietly revealed the 2018 Enclave will be priced from $39,995 when it goes on sale in the United States this fall.

Costing $930 more than its predecessor, the redesigned Enclave has an evolutionary design which adopts a number of styling cues from the LaCrosse.

Detailed specifications will be announced closer to launch but the entry-level model will come nicely equipped with LED headlights, heated front seats, and active noise cancelation technology. There will also be an eight-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Power is provided by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces an estimated 302 hp (227 kW) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a nine-speed automatic gearbox which allows the crossover to run from 0-60 mph in around 7.2 seconds.

The Enclave Essence starts at $44,215 and it adds leather seats as well as an air ionizer. The mid-level crossover also has rear cross traffic alert and lane change alert with a blind zone feature. Several different options will be available including all-wheel drive and a trailing package which enables the model to tow up to 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg).

Moving up to the Enclave Premium costs $48,015 but it rewards buyers with cooled front seats, heated second-row captain chairs, and a power-folding third row. There are also several safety systems including front parking assist, forward collision alert, and lane keep assist with a lane departure warning system.

Lastly, the range-topping Enclave Avenir starts at $53,415 and includes an extensive amount of standard equipment. Highlights include chestnut wood trim, a wireless smartphone charger, and an 8-inch display in the instrument cluster. Other niceties include GPS navigation, a dual-panel glass roof, and a surround vision system. The crossover also has a black ice grille and 20-inch alloy wheels to distinguish it from lesser models.
