2018 Polaris Slingshot Gains New Infotainment System And A Range-Topping Limited Edition

Polaris has taken the wraps off the 2018 Slingshot.

Launched nearly three years ago, the Slingshot enters the 2018 model year with a number of minor changes including the addition of a 7-inch Ride Command infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The system comes standard on all models except the entry-level Slingshot S and higher-end variants feature GPS navigation.

Besides being more technologically advanced than its predecessor, the 2018 Slingshot gains a new range-topping model called the SLR LE. Billed as an "ultra-premium" three-wheeler, the model comes nicely equipped with sport seats, special edition graphics, and a 200 watt Rockford Fosgate audio system. Buyers will also find a 10-way adjustable Bilstein suspension and a two-tone exterior with Ghost Gray and Lime-Squeeze accents.

The Slingshot's 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine carries over and continues to produce 173 hp (129 kW) and 166 lb-ft (224 Nm) of torque.

The 2018 Slingshot will begin arriving at dealerships in September and pricing starts at $19,999. The mid-level SL retails for $25,499 while the SLR stickers for $28,999. The limited edition Slingshot SLR LE starts at $30,999 but the company declined to say how many units will be produced.
