Alpine may have premiered the new A110 sports car at the Geneva Motor Show but development of the Porsche Cayman fighter continues and recently headed to the Nurburgring.
The French automaker brought along a prototype disguised in the familiar blue and white camoflage that we've come to associate with the sports car. Other than that, it looks just like the production car we saw a few months ago.
Alongside the punchy engine sits a seven-speed wet-clutch dual-clutch transmission developed by Getrag. Drivers will also have three driving modes (Normal, Sport and Track) to enjoy.
Beyond its use of a small engine, the A110 is so light because of its all-aluminum platform and the aluminum body panels.
