While it's unlikely BMW will build an M-version of the new 6-Series Gran Turismo, we can still get an idea of what it would look like thanks to rendering artists.
This one comes courtesy of X-Tomi Design and it's basically the M-Sport package edition, but with a more aggressive front spoiler, side skirts, blacked out grille, new mirrors, bigger wheels and lowered suspension.
In reality, the sportiest 6-Series GT you can get right now is the 640i xDrive version that sports 340 PS, 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) and 0-62 (100 km/h) time of 5.3 seconds.
The older 550i xDrive Gran Turismo needed just 4.8 seconds to hit that same mark, thanks to its 449 PS and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Thankfully, a 650i GT is expected to arrive at some point, with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and, most probably, all-wheel drive.
As far as how successful the 6-Series GT will be, generally speaking, the jury is still out, though at least one can argue that it is an improvement over the 5-Series GT, which it replaces.
