Ford have extended their partnership with Team Sky for two more years, and as a result, they have supplied them with a new Focus RS, which will be used throughout this year's Tour de France.
Featuring a special livery that matches Team Sky's jerseys, the hot hatch will lead their fleet for the competition, which starts on July 1, in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Besides its new look, the hot hatch has also been fitted with custom bike racks that can handle up to 350kg (772lbs) of added weight, and it's ready to carry team members, spare bikes and wheels, tools, drink bottles, and a large coolbox.
"Racing on two wheels is increasingly capturing the imagination of sports fans across Europe – and is underpinned by the best possible support on four wheels. We are excited to continue to support Team Sky in their pursuit of further cycling success", said Ford of Europe's Marketing, Sales and Service VP, Roelant de Waard.
The Focus RS won't be the only Ford vehicle that will assist Team Sky throughout the challenging competition, as the Blue Oval has also supplied them with an S-Max, Edge, and Transit, in addition to the Mondeo wagons used by the company's sport directors and managers.
