Even though crossovers are all the rage right now, some people would still appreciate a budget-friendly, non-premium sports car.
While the old Tigra was never particularly sporty (regardless of generation), this rendering from Kamil Podolak depicts a futuristic two-seater coupe that could serve as a new-age replacement for the now defunct model.
In terms of styling, the designer states that this car was meant to feature a dynamic silhouette, with a low-flowing front fascia, "squinted" headlights and a muscular rear, giving it a forward-tilted appearance.
The front end does remind us a little bit of the Opel GT Concept, but overall this looks more compact and more futuristic, especially inside where the steering wheel looks as though it was borrowed from a sci-fi movie set. Other features include the tablet on the center console, a display on top of the dashboard, a couple of dials here and there, plus video cameras for wing mirrors.
Obviously, it all makes for an interesting concept and nothing more. A production version of this thing would look a lot different, but since the majority of customers shy away from this segment, it's highly unlikely Opel will deal with it in the near future.
