
Movie cars are rarely what they seem, but in the case of the Chevy Nova that starred in Tarantino’s 2007 Death Proof, it’s the real deal.
After shooting the film, the movie car was sold to Kurt Russel’s stuntman for just $500. This is actually one of the fully-working Novas Russel drove on screen, which makes it even cooler.
Fast forward to today and the coolest 16-year-old ever becomes one of Hoonigan’s production assistants, with his colleagues not believing him at first that his Nova is the actual car that was featured in the movie.
It even retains the characteristic cage inside, with the driver’s side being… death-proofed. Find out more about its story on the video linked below.
