Rolls-Royce Creates A One-Off Ghost Black Badge Police Car

We've seen plenty of high-profile police cars over the years but this Rolls-Royce Ghost might be the most luxurious one yet.

Temporarily donated to the Sussex police department, the special Ghost Black Badge was unveiled at the Chichester Police Station Open Day on Saturday.

Dressed in Andalusian White paint, the one-off model wore a traditional police livery and was equipped with emergency lights. The car also featured a black and tan leather interior with carbon fiber trim.

While the police livery has already been removed, the car was used to raise funds for the Chestnut Tree House which is a children's hospice that cares for approximately 300 children and young adults.

According to Rolls-Royce Global Communications Manager Andrew Ball, "As a proud member of the local community, Rolls-Royce recognizes the importance of the emergency services, including the police. We were particularly pleased to see a number of our employees visiting the event with their families, and sharing their pride in the motor car they built.”

Unveiled last year, the Ghost Black Badge is a performance oriented model which has upgraded twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 engine that produces 603 hp (450 kW) and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
