This Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is Wrapped Up In A Beautiful Lie

Wrapping your 991 GT3 RS to look like the brand new GT2 RS is a weird, yet clever solution to owning Porsche's latest and greatest 911.

The visual switch was done over at Pro Wrap in Amsterdam, where this Porsche 911 GT3 RS received a transparent scratch-resistant and anti-slip film, with a custom striping design that mimics that of the most powerful 911 of all time.

A keen eye could still spot all the differences between the two models, like the different bumpers, hood and so on, but from a distance, you could say the wrap works just fine.

As great as the GT3 RS is, it's nowhere near as potent as the new GT2 RS, a car Porsche launched quite recently as this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. It's got a 3.8-liter flat-six twin turbocharged engine, good for 700 PS (690 HP). Its top speed is rated at 340 km/h (211 mph), whereas 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 2.8 seconds - or 2.7 if you go 0-60.

Among its many noteworthy features, we count the lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, magnesium roof, rear-axle steering and specially-calibrated PSM system.
