BMW Chairman Harald Krüger recently hinted the company would have a "very exciting surprise" for the Frankfurt Motor Show and it now appears he was talking about the X7 concept.
In a teaser image released earlier today, the company confirmed plans for a "big" debut on September 8th. BMW declined to say what the model is but promised it will have "modernity, luxury, and presence."
BMW isn't saying anything but previous reports have suggested the X7 could be offered in an ultra-luxury trim that has individual seating for four people. The high-end model is billed as a Range Rover competitor and it will reportedly have a more upscale interior than the standard X7. The model could cost less than $200,000 and make up around one percent of X7 sales.
Getting back to the concept, it will reportedly preview the production crossover and come equipped with a fuel cell powertrain.
