While politicians in many countries have expressed their desire to ban diesel (and petrol) vehicles over the next decades, Audi is said to be looking to offer oil-burning versions of the new-gen S6 and S7.
As reported by Motor1 France, the gasoline-powered S6 and S7 models could be followed by diesel variants, a decision that's apparently fueled by the success of the SQ5 and SQ7.
If this is indeed the case, then the two sporty executive cars will challenge the likes of the BMW M550d saloon and wagon, which have a 3.0-liter straight-six quad-turbo diesel engine under their hoods, that's rated at 400PS (394hp) and 760Nm (561lb-ft) of torque.
