Ken Block Goes To Pikes Peak With His 1,400HP Hoonicorn And The Rest Is History

Ken Block’s latest video comes packed with his signature stunts, only this time we get to see him driving the wheels off his 1,400hp Mustang at the Pikes Peak.

Just in case your memory needs some refreshing, Block’s Mustang is called the Hoonicorn V2 and is basically an one-off chassis dressed to look like a 1965 Ford Mustang.

A 6.7-liter V8 with a pair of turbos is responsible for spinning all four tires on this beast, making a total of 1,400hp at the crank. As you can see, power is adequate for creating decent amounts of smoke.

Then there’s the Pikes Peak: with 156 corners of pure driving bliss, this place is one of the most famous motorsport icons in the world and one that has given us more than one historical moments, including Ari Vatanen’s 1988 run.

Ken Block doesn’t forget to pay tribute to Vatanen’s epic run in his video (you’ll know when he does it) before going back to doing what he does best: destroying his tires while making the Hoonicorn dance on the edge of the cliffs.
