Both the McLaren 12C and P1 GTR are incredible street cars but the latter is remarkably exclusive, expensive and out of reach for most.
Fortunately, a U.S tuning company dubbed HyperCar Development has the answer for 12C owners with its 1,200 hp, tri-turbo tuning package.
The insane tuning package can be purchased for about $140,000 and lifts power by more than double a standard 12C. Additionally, the car produces turbo sounds that make those of the P1 seem tame. Oh yeah, there’s also an 8-point roll cage, a huge P1 GTR-inspired hydraulic airbrake and a reported 270 mph (434 km/h) top speed.
The tuner says that it was extremely difficult to fit a third turbocharger into the 12C’s already-cramped engine bay but the results speak for themselves. The car will hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.4 seconds, 100 mph (160 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and sprint down the quarter mile in the low 8-second range.
