Volvo has released a new teaser video of the XC40 ahead of its official unveiling on September 21st.
The clip only provides a few glimpses of the crossover but the model was previewed by a concept last year and its overall design will be heavily influenced by the XC60 and XC90.
Previous spy photos have shown the cabin will echo the company's other crossovers as it features a three-spoke steering wheel and a large infotainment system with a portrait orientation. Drivers will also find vertical air vents and metallic accents.
The XC40 will ride on the company's new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) and compete with the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes GLA.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but the crossover is expected to be offered with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. Rumors also indicate there will be a diesel option as well as a plug-in hybrid variant which could travel up to 30 miles (48.2 km) on electricity alone.
