Electric cars are shaping up to be the future and while many auto enthusiasts will be keen to hang on to their ICE-powered cars for as long as possible, others are embracing the EV revolution and converting classics to electric propulsion.
What we have here is a Saab 99 in Finland that has been converted into an EV in a process that took the owner a couple of years.
According to Saab Planet, the owner, Mika Leppälahti, has traveled 195 km on a single charge and believes his electric Saab could theoretically reach a respectable 245 km/h.
We don’t have any details about what electric motor or battery pack the car uses but Leppälahti says he hasn’t encountered any issues in the 5,200 miles of driving he’s done.
