With the launch of the Polestar 1, Volvo's newly emancipated electric performance brand has shown it can make a slick-looking hybrid coupe to keep pace with the best of them. But that's only the start.
The Swedish marque already has plans for additional models. Before it rolls those out, though, we can't help but wonder what other forms the Polestar 1 coupe might take.
Just a couple of days ago, one of our favorite rendering artists imagined the coupe as a shooting brake. And now X-Tomi has returned with a convertible rendering as well – and it looks no less tempting.
While Sweden may not be the first country with which you'd associated open-air driving, cold as it tends to get there, it does have a history of producing drop-tops like the Volvo C70, Saab 9-3 Convertible, and... well, everything Koenigsegg makes (with their removable roof panels).
Of course, none of that means that a Polestar 1 convertible will necessarily follow. But with its electrified powertrain and carbon-intensive construction, it could make for one very enjoyable drive.
