Alfa Romeos of the not so distant past may be notoriously unreliable, but throughout the decades, the Italian automaker has produced a plethora of truly epic automobiles.
One of the finest in recent times is the 156 GTA sports sedan, technically made to compete against the BMW 3-Series. The car was never sold in North America but one die-hard fan has imported one to Ontario, Canada and it’s featured in the clip below.
Without question, the standout element of the 156 GTA is its 3.2-liter V6 engine, delivering 247 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque. Having personally driven a 147 GTA with exactly the same engine, I can attest to it beautiful sound and surprising performance. In fact, when taken to a private road, even a BMW E46 M3 couldn’t keep up with the Alfa.
The 156 GTA featured is painted in a stunning shade of blue and if you’re a car enthusiast, should get your heart beating a little bit faster.
