At the heart of this Ferrari 288 GTO replica lies a 1993 Toyota MR2 with a 3.0-liter V6 engine, a far cry from the original's 2.8-liter twin turbo V8.
On sale in the UK through eBay, this car features a full fiberglass body kit, fully refurbished 16" alloys, new tires, a stainless steel quad exhaust system, original 288 GTO rear lights, front driving lights and fog lights.
Inside, you'll find leather seats from an MX-5, giving it an 80's look and feel according to the seller, a leather steering wheel, center tunnel handbrake conversion, and a custom dash with all heating and fan mechanisms converted to new switches and panels.
Even though it's not hard to tell it apart from a real mid-80's 288 GTO, the builder did a pretty solid job getting all the details right, especially when it comes to the exterior.
Coincidentally, this isn't the first time we've seen a Ferrari replica built from a Toyota. We're still trying to forget about this rather poor excuse for an F430, based on a Corolla.
