With Audi's new-generation A7 Sportback already unveiled, the next logical step for Ingolstadt is to roll out the range-topping RS7.
The new RS7 is tipped to hit Audi's showroom doors sometime in late 2018 and will most likely powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with over 600 HP.
Rumor has it that a hybrid version using a similar drivetrain as the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid sporting as much as 700 HP could also join the range, but that remains to be seen.
Since this is a test mule and not a true prototype that's hiding its styling under heavy camo, we can expect to see more styling changes to the production car, such as a sportier rear diffuser and chunkier front bumper, for example.
With Mercedes dropping the CLS 63 nameplate on their latest generation car, the all-new RS7 will find itself in a fight against the Mercedes-AMG GT 4 come 2019.
