Alpine Details The A110 Premiere Edition In New Images And Videos

Introduced earlier this year, at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Alpine A110 was taken to the Aix en Provence, in southern France, for a test drive and photo shoot.

Shown here is the Premiere Edition of the brand's Porsche Cayman and Alfa Romeo 4C challenger, which was spoken for within the first days after order books opened, but it will be followed by the mass produced version, in the very near future.

Limited to just 1,955 examples, a nod to the year Alpine was founded, the A110 Premiere Edition marks the relaunch of the iconic brand, and sets itself apart from the regular models by carrying a set of visual updates, both on the outside and in the cabin. As far as the sticker price goes, the manufacturer asked €58,500 for each unit, which equals to $69,370 at the current exchange rates.

By now, you probably know that Alpine has no interest of launching it in the United States, but in other markets, customers will get to enjoy its mid-mounted 1.8-liter turbocharged engine, which was recently adopted by the new Renault Megane RS, with a different output. In the A110, the unit is rated at 252PS (248hp) and 320Nm (236lb-ft) of torque, enabling a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint made in 4.5sec, and a top speed electronically capped at 250km/h (155mph).

Like all Alpine models, the new A110 is rear-wheel drive, and it channels the output to the wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Drivers will be able to choose between one of the three modes, called Normal, Sport, and Track, which adapt the entire car according to the selected setting.
