With 750 HP on each side, you'd think that this half-mile drag race between an F82 BMW M4 and a Mercedes SL63 AMG would come down to the wire, right?
As it turns out, no. In stock form, they have identical 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time, mostly because the M4's weight advantage is offset by the SL63 having roughly 100 more horses under the hood.
Now, both cars put down 750 HP, the M4 thanks to a Stage 3+ KK-Performance tune, while the SL63 uses a WINDE Tuning mod. As it turns out, though, the difference between the two was bigger than expected.
The winner covered a 1/4 mile in 11.35 seconds at 215 km/h (133 mph), while the runner-up needed 12.15 seconds, doing just 200 km/h (124 mph). As they reached the finish line, that difference had risen to almost 1.5 seconds, with 19 km/h (12 mph) between them.
