Cadillac continues the development of the facelifted 2019 CT6 in Colorado, where our reader Brett Borgard spotted them unloading a camouflaged prototype out of a truck.
The car is still covered in camo tape and the only thing that sticks out is the new front fascia which takes inspiration from the Cadillac Escala concept. We'll remind you that the Escala was based on the CT6 sporting a four-dour coupe-style body with a liftback and a 500-horsepower 4.2L twin-turbo V8.
Expect to see the new 2019 CT6 sporting a similar front grille and sleeker-looking headlights, features that will eventually pass on to every future Cadillac model - redesigned or new.
There are some rumors talking about Cadillac finally offering a pair of high-performance variants, in the form of a CT6 V-Sport and a range-topping CT6-V. If that’s the case, then expect to see an upgraded twin-turbo V6 hiding under the bonnet or even an upgraded twin-turbo V8 engine, as seen on the Escala Concept. The plug-in hybrid version will also stay.
Expect to see the car for the first time in production form within the next 12-18 months.
Thanks to Brett for the shots!
