2019 Toyota Avalon's Taillights Revealed In New Teaser

Toyota is bringing the Avalon into its fifth generation, approximately six years after its predecessor debuted in full at the New York Auto Show.

And since it's scheduled to be presented in front of an audience in just a little over a week, during the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, the automaker has shifted into second gear when it comes to its teaser campaign.

The latest video released by Toyota on social media reveals the car's taillights, focusing on the modern sequential turn signals, a feature that can already be found on various other vehicles, including the Audi A4 - accompanied by the caption "first look at the all-new Avalon".

This isn’t, however, the first look at the new generation Avalon, as we already caught a glimpse of its front end design last month, which is dominated by the LED-infused headlights, large air intakes, a generously sized grille, and muscular hood.

On the technical front, the 2019 Toyota Avalon is believed to share the TNGA platform with the latest Camry, in addition to some engines, such as the 3.5-liter V6 with 301hp (305PS) and 267lb-ft (362Nm) of torque. The large saloon is also expected to adopt a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter unit with an electric motor, for a total of 208hp (211PS).
