From the Miura all the way to their latest model, the Urus, Lamborghini has built some of the most unique and exceptional cars in history.
Their automotive heritage is up there with the likes of Porsche and Ferrari, although unlike the latter, Lamborghini decided to hurry up and add a 190 mph (305 km/h) SUV to their supercar line-up, rather than wait another few years.
Before that decision was made, the Italian automaker was almost entirely focused on two-door models like the Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, Gallardo, Aventador or the Huracan, plus quite a few other special edition models.
Throughout history, while their cars got heavier and more expensive, they also got more powerful. The Miura was good for 350 HP back in 1966, while in 1990, the Diablo broke through with nearly 500 HP and a price tag of over $200,000.
Now, in the absence of a true hypercar, it’s the 2016 limited edition Centenario that offers the most power, but if you’re measuring by success, the Gallardo remains the automaker’s best seller.
