New for the brand’s flagship SUV are the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which can be ordered from the CX09 Touring trim level and above. As for the base Sport version, it gets standard 18-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, LED lighting units, 7-inch infotainment system, Bluetooth, three-zone climate control and keyless entry&go. The automatic emergency braking and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are standard, too.
Paying an extra $1,290 unlocks the Sport Package, with Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, radar-guided cruise control, heated side mirrors, power driver’s seat and heated front seats.

The 2019 Mazda CX-9 Touring costs at least $35,330 and adds standard automatic headlights, power liftgate, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, 8-inch infotainment, and a host of driving assistance features. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, are offered at no extra cost.
Optionally, customers can spec the Touring grade with the Premium Package. It costs $2,390 and brings LED fog lamps, front parking sensors, second-row retractable sunshades, Bose premium sound system, SiriusXM with 3-month trial subscription and power moonroof.
The 2019 CX-9 Grand Touring has an MSRP of $40,840 and gets new equipment such as the ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera system and 7-inch TFT gauge cluster display, alongside the usual 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior accents, roof rails, heated steering wheel and more.
The flagship model is called Signature, comes exclusively with AWD and starts from $45,365. Opting for this trim level gets you LED grille accent lighting, new rear exterior badging, special rosewood trim and Auburn Nappa leather inside, and hand-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel.
All CX-9s are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that makes 250hp (254PS / 187kW) and 310lb-ft (420Nm) of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
