The new real-time spec system allows you to view the 600LT in as many as 28 different body colors, 14 of which belong to the MSO Defined palette, developed specifically for this model. Altogether, buyers can explore millions of unique car permutations.
“This is a great way to explore the specification of a car like the 600LT before finalizing your choices,” stated McLaren chief test driver Kenny Brack, who also got to choose his ideal ‘Longtail’ spec. “You can see on screen what each paint color looks like in isolation, choose your wheel design and finish and then contrast the exterior look with any of the interior specifications that appeal, before adding optional features and equipment.”
While Brack went with a Sicilian Yellow exterior plus the full Carbon Black Alcantara cabin on his 600LT, McLaren brand ambassador Bruno Senna configured his car in Burton Blue, also complemented by a full Carbon Black Alcantara interior. Both drivers added the Carbon Fiber Upgrade packs and MSO Clubsport Pro Pack – which includes the carbon fiber roof, front fenders and super-lightweight carbon fiber wheels.
In order to keep up with the track-focused nature of the 600LT, Brack chose not to get air-conditioning, sat-nav and an audio system, whereas Senna got the air-con, a Bowers & Wilkins system, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and vehicle lift.
Those of you who can’t make it to a McLaren dealer in order to try out the real-time 3D configurator with 4K graphics, can always access the 2D one available here.
The new McLaren 600LT is priced from £185,500 in the UK and $240,000 in the U.S.
