Two weeks ago, The Grand Tour host Richard Hammond suffered a horrific accident in Switzerland on-board the electric Rimac Concept_One hypercar, where he managed to exit the vehicle just in time before it went up in flames.
Now, spectators who were at the hillclimb have posted new footage that, aside from the aftermath of Hammond's crash, show some behind-the-scenes action.
More specifically, the video courtesy of The Grand Tour Fans shows the two other hosts, Jeremy Clarkson and James May, driving a Lamborghini Aventador S and a Honda NSX respectively up the mountain.
This is mere speculation, but filming these cars together could mean that they were doing a sort of petrol versus hybrid versus electric supercar comparison test - in which we assume that, in terms of pure acceleration, the Concept_One would have beaten both the Lambo as well as the Honda.
Still, we can't help but think about the crash while watching this footage and how lucky Hammond was to actually survive with just a broken knee, considering that the Rimac traveled 300 meters (328 yards) after flying off the edge of the hill.
