Jeep is out testing the updated Cherokee and our readers keep being awesome by sending over pics and videos of the prototypes.
This time, our reader Tre Davis spotted a camouflaged prototype of the 2018 Jeep Cherokee running around downtown Pittsburg, PA. Unfortunately the photos don’t reveal what’s going on Cherokee’s front end, an area that proved to be deeply polarizing with the adoption, and execution, of the double headlight setup.
Jeep will likely go for a simpler, more easy to swallow take on the nose, one that will also bring the Cherokee in line with the brand’s other models, including the Grand Cherokee and the fresh Jeep Compass. What’s more intriguing though is the sheer amount of camo applied to the rear end, indicating that we’re going to see some major changes there too.
The interior will get a range of new upholstery options and the latest generation of FCA’s infotainment system, while new driver assistance systems will make their debut in the Cherokee as well.
Jeep is probably going to reveal the updated Cherokee in early 2018.
