Doug DeMuro Totally Blown Away By The Shelby Mustang GT350R

If you like muscle cars but you'd rather have something that steers around a corner better than say, a V8-powered Challenger, Ford's track-focused GT350R could be your best option.

Step inside the Shelby GT350R and, as reviewer Doug DeMuro will point out, you will immediately feel as though you're not sitting in just any regular Mustang. Even the missing buttons/features are a testament to Ford's no-nonsense approach when it comes to this car. For example, you don't really need heated seats, though what you might want is to know your air/fuel ratio or your cylinder head temperature.

Even a system as straight forward as Launch Control can be set up according to your preferences in the GT350R, as you can choose the RPM at which you want your car to rocket off the line. You can also use the built-in Line Lock feature that lets you spin your tires in order to warm them up.

On the road, DeMuro says the GT350R is pretty bad in terms of ride quality, however, since this thing is supposed to be a track car, most owners will probably let that slide and focus on all the positives.

Speaking of which, you've got the excellent steering, the loud soundtrack, performance and the overall feel of the car. Put it all together and you might just put any other Mustang to shame.
