Aside from a slight change in appearance, Landwind's famous Range Rover Evoque clone, the X7, also received a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine.
According to Carnewschina, the updated Landwind X7 will arrive on the Chinese car market sometime in the next quarter, boasting new headlights, new grille, a sportier front bumper, and surprisingly, an entirely redesigned rear end.
The old model did a good job at copying the Evoque from bumper to bumper. Now though, these images from Autohome show how the Range Rover-like small taillights and chunky exhausts make way for a set of slimmer ones with large taillights.
As for the new engine, it's a 1.5-liter turbo with 160 HP, making the X7 1.5T the entry level version of the range, followed by the 2.0-liter turbo with 190 HP. Prices are said to start at just under 100,000 yuan ($14,700).
Sound off below and tell us how you feel about this clone looking a bit less like the original.
