California is notorious for insane police chases and the latest one certainly doesn't disappoint.
According to local reports, the California Highway Patrol and the Glendale Police Department began chasing a stolen truck after it was spotted on Monday night. The chase reportedly started in Glendale and lasted for quite awhile as it took officers through the San Gabriel Valley and into Riverside County.
The driver hit speeds in excess of 100 mph (160.9 km/h) but it was all for naught as the chase eventually came to a dramatic end in Murrieta. As the video shows, the driver was traveling along the freeway when the truck's front tire fell off. The driver then began braking and heading towards the shoulder.
While you'd think the chase would be over at this point, the driver didn't come to a stop and instead plowed into a gravel area sending sparks flying. Seconds later, the truck hit some kind of concrete surface which sent it airborne.
The truck came crashing back to the ground and it eventually stopped. The driver then fled the vehicle but he was eventually caught by officers.
