Porsche has launched a new subscription service in the United States.
Dubbed Porsche Passport, the monthly subscription service allows users to receive on-demand access to up to 22 different Porsche vehicles via an app.
Two different memberships will be available including an entry-level Launch subscription which allows users to select between eight different models including the Cayenne, 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman S, and Macan S. The service costs $2,000 a month but it includes "white-glove vehicle delivery," insurance, maintenance, and detailing as well as taxes and registration fees.
Besides the monthly costs, users will have to fork out $500 for a one-time activation fee. Membership will also be conditional based on a background and credit check.
According to Porsche Cars North America CEO Klaus Zellmer, "Our Strategy 2025 vision is to be the most aspirational brand in a new era of mobility and consumer expectations. Catering to customers' desire to experience our sports cars in new ways is a part of our core strategy."
A pilot program will kick off in Atlanta, Georgia in November and the company could expand the service to other locations if it proves successful.
