CR Takes A Quick Look At The 2018 Honda Accord

Building upon the legacy of its predecessors, which are known to be practical and reliable, and offer good value for money, the redesigned Honda Accord wants to be better in every way.

Whether it manages to do that is a question that Consumer Reports set out to answer, by taking the car out for a short drive.

From the get-go, the reviewer gave it a few extra points for its bold design, quiet cabin that's almost on the same level with luxury vehicles, quality materials, new infotainment that's more user-friendly, and plenty of space up front. Rear legroom is just fine, but headroom is a bit limited because of its new sloping roofline.

On the go, the 2018 Honda Accord feels slick and responsive, with its sporty handling and pleasant ride, and the 2.0-liter turbo'd four-cylinder engine, rated at 252hp and 273lb-ft (369Nm) of torque does its job quite nicely, as does the new 10-speed automatic gearbox.

CR will buy their own Honda Accord, once it reaches dealers, so it should be interesting to learn how it behaves, in the long run.
