The first review of the Honda Civic Type R provoked a lot of reaction, so we're following it up with a handful of other videos which take a closer look at the latest hot hatch.
While some of our readers criticized the overly positive nature of the first review, that seems to be a common theme as most reviewers didn't find anything major amiss.
Starting with Roadshow's video, the reviewer praises the car as nimble and precise with a ride quality that is better than the Ford Focus RS and Subaru WRX STI. The reviewer also notes there's not a hint of torque steer and it's "unlike any other high power front-wheel drive car I have ever driven before." Everything wasn't perfect though as the driver thought the steering had a muted feel.
The second video comes from Cars.com and its reviewer says the car's turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is smooth and progressive without having a "peaky turbo feel." Things go a bit downhill from there as the driver notes the ride can get a little bumpy in R mode and the seats, while nice, lack adjustable lumbar support.
Engineering Explain was also impressed by the lack of torque steer as well as the car's amazing shifter and brakes. The only real demerits noted were a hint of turbo lag and a little bit of rev hang.
Thanks to everyone who sent in a tip!
