Set to premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show this fall and arrive at dealers shortly after, the new Opel Grandland X is already available for order in Germany.
Powering the Grandland X is a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that makes 130PS (128hp) and 230Nm (170lb-ft) of torque and returns a combined 5.5-5.4 l/100 km (51-52 mpg UK / 42-43 mpg US).
Customers will have to pay at least €23,700 (equal to $26,506), tax included, for the entry-level model, which features standard air conditioning with particulate and odor filter, Radio R 4.0 with Bluetooth, Lane Departure Warning, Road Sign Recognition, and Hill Start Assist.
There's also a 1.6-liter diesel rated at 120PS (118hp) and 300Nm (221lb-ft) of torque, which returns 4.6-4.3 l/100 km (61-66 mpg UK / 51-55 mpg US) and is priced from €25,500 ($28,519).
The options list includes features such as OnStar connectivity, a 360-degree camera system, Advanced Park Assist, Driver Drowsiness Alert, Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, panoramic glass sunroof, IntelliLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Demon premium sound system, adaptive LED headlights and a two-color finish.
Although it will initially launch with these two engines, the Grandland X's powertrain portfolio is said to be expanded in the near future.
