The New Rolls-Royce Phantom Has Fake Exhaust Tips...

When you spend over $300,000 on a luxury car like the latest-generation 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom, you expect the best car money can buy.

Unfortunately, we’ve noticed that the Phantom suffers from a plague that has infected dozens of cars in recent years; fake exhaust tips.

As the image above shows, the new Phantom has two rectangular tailpipes clad in chrome but as it turns out, these ‘tailpipes’ aren’t tailpipes at all. Instead, they are essentially holes cut into the bumper and the real, smaller circular tailpipe can be seen just behind.

There are many other premium cars to have fake exhaust tips like these, including the Audi R8, Mercedes-AMG GT and Ferrari California but seeing them on the new Phantom feels even more disheartening.
