What do you say we check out Lamborghini's new Aventador S in action on a race track?
Sant'Agata Bolognese's flagship supercar was taken to the Auto Club Speedway, formerly known as California Speedway. This is where a journalist from Winding Road Magazine tried his best at keeping up with Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series champion Shinya Michimi, and FIA GT champion Justin Bell.
Before checking out the actual video, let's remember some of the hot points of the facelifted Aventador: aggressive styling, new driving dynamics, four-wheel steering, tweaked suspension, and recalibrated driving modes.
Lamborghini's engineers also tuned the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which now makes 740PS (730hp) and 690Nm (509lb-ft) of torque, or 40PS (39hp) more than its predecessor. Going from zero to 100km/h (62mph) takes just 2.9sec, and top speed stands at in excess of 350km/h (217mph).
Priced from $421,350 in the United States, the Lamborghini Aventador S is not for mere mortals, but we can still experience it in films such as this one, so now would be a good time to turn that volume up.
