Mercedes Product Roadmap Confirms Long Wheelbase Versions Of The GLC- And A-Class Sedan

Mercedes has revealed its latest product roadmap at the company's second quarter financial presentation.

As the slide shows, Mercedes will kick off 2018 with the launch of the facelifted S-Class Coupe and Convertible. Both models debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show and feature revised styling as well as an updated engine lineup.

Later in the year, Mercedes will launch the redesigned CLS. The model will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor and adopt a variety of engines from the E-Class.

Shortly thereafter, the company will introduce the new A-Class sedan and the redesigned G-Class. The latter model will retain its boxy styling but become larger and more luxurious.

The models will then be followed by the facelifted C-Class. Previous spy photos have shown the sedan will adopt new bumpers and a revised grille. There could also be an updated interior and some engine modifications.

Moving on, the redesigned Sprinter will be introduced with a new front fascia that features a larger grille. Little is known about the model but it will continue to be offered in a variety of different configurations and Mercedes has already confirmed plans for an electric variant.

The company will then introduce two new versions of the GLC. The fuel cell variant was recently shown in Frankfurt while the GLC long-wheelbase could potentially be offered with a third row seat.

Rounding out the additions will be the AMG four-door coupe and a long-wheelbase A-Class sedan.
