Back when Land Rover first introduced their convertible Evoque, it's safe to say that not a lot of people thought it was a particularly cool car.
Apparently, two years later, the trend persists with Doug DeMuro biting into the Evoque Convertible like a shark into a baby seal, pointing out all of its many shortcomings while praising it for just one or two things.
As it turns out, the fact that you can roll down all four windows at once doesn't make up for the Evoque Convertible having extremely poor visibility with the top up, too small of an engine for how expensive it is, less boot space than a sports car and very little room in the back.
In other words, it's not a practical car, which in a way is very weird, since this is after all an SUV. DeMuro also isn't very fond of the way the Evoque Convertible looks, although that's debatable since different people have different tastes.
We can still think of a couple of reasons why people might want to buy one, such as making sort of a fashion statment - like you would in a convertible Mini. So if you consider this to be more of a fashion car than a Sports Utility Vehicle, and you actually like the styling (why not?), then perhaps it's a justifiable purchase.
