Two young people were seriously injured when the 22-year old driver of a BMW M2 smashed into a tree at high-speed, near a car meet in Scotland.
Moments before the impact, the powerful coupe, which was attending a car meet in Aberdeenshire, Scotland last weekend, as several videos showed, was filmed hooning and reaching extreme speeds on public roads.
According to BBC, the 22-year old male driver, along with his 20-year old female passenger, had to be cut free from the wreckage by emergency responders. Both of them suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The images posted by forum member ElusiveJim on PistonHeads reveal the severity of the accident, which left the BMW M2 completely unrecognizable, and a tree sitting in the middle of the B9119 Tarland to Echt road, near Midmar, a few meters away from car's remains.
The Scotland Police are asking those that witnessed the accident to contact them: "I would appeal for anyone who was in the area, or saw the collision, to contact the police. We are particularly looking to speak to the occupants of a silver-colored motor vehicle, which was passing in the moments prior to the collision. The area was particularly busy with persons attending the nearby supercar event, and I would ask anyone who has video connected to the incident to also contact Police Scotland", said Sgt. Rob Warnock.
