Shortly after Volvo announced that all of its new vehicles will soon be electrified, the world has started wondering about the inevitable fleet of all-electric cars the Swedish automaker is planning.
Will they be totally bespoke models? Will they be based around existing models? Will they be affordable? For now, it is thought that the EVs will be a mix of all-new vehicles and electric variants of current cars but in a couple of decades time, it seems Volvo will be building nothing but electric cars.
To offer us an idea of how one of them could look, Behance artist Andrey Kirichenko has rendered this, the Volvo 40.3 Electric Shooting Brake.
The name makes reference to the 40.1 and 40.2 concepts Volvo unveiled early last year and as with most Shooting Brakes, the car is seriously attractive.
Compared to current Volvo models, it is far more angular and includes sharp edges and pointed corners across all surfaces. Among our favorite design touches are the simple yet beautiful headlights, the Porsche Mission-E wheels and the brake lights incorporated into the two subtle roof spoilers.
