Get The Watch To Go With Your New Porsche 911 GT2 RS Or Turbo S Exclusive Series

Just how fast are the latest, top-of-the-line Porsche 911s? So fast, so quick, that you're going to need the right instruments just to measure it. Fortunately Porsche itself is ready with just such the tools.

The result of a partnership between the automaker and Porsche Design, these latest timepieces are made to complement the new 911 GT2 RS and 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series.

Both are built around Porsche Design's first in-house manufacture movement, the Calibre Werk 01.200, which is said to have taken three years to develop. The automatic flyback chronograph is COSC-certified for its accuracy and work with the tachymeter scale to time laps, acceleration, and other performance parameters with pin-point precision.

The movements in each are housed inside a 42-mm case made of titanium and coated in black titanium carbine, with scratch-resistant, anti-glare sapphire crystal on the front and back to allow an unfettered view of the 25-jewel movement inside – including the rotor, designed to match the lightweight alloy wheels of the high-end sports car with which it's paired.

Porsche Design will only offer 500 of the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series chronograph, and 1,000 of the GT2 RS chronograph – one for each of the road cars to be made, with serial numbers to match their VINs and designs to complement their paintjobs. Pricing is specified at $12,650 for the Turbo model and €9,450 (or $10.7k at current exchange rates) for the GT2 version, each of which will be available exclusively to owners of their corresponding Elfens.
