With all the awards handed out by various organizations and publications, it can be tricky to keep track of it all and determine which makes and models come in the most recommended.
Kelley Blue Book alone awards several each year, and to make sense of it all, the editors compile the results of them all to see who comes out on top. And this year it was Honda, without a doubt.
The Japanese automaker and its products ran the gamut of KBB.com's Best Buy Awards, Best Auto Tech Awards, Best Resale Value Awards, 5-Year Cost to Own Awards, and Brand Image Awards – winning at least one category in each award this year. According to Kelley, that's the automotive equivalent of winning the Grand Slam in tennis, the Triple Crown in horse racing, or the EGOT for entertainers. We're not sure we'd go that far, but it's an impressive result... not only for Honda itself, which topped KBB's list of its 10 Most Awarded Brands of 2017, but also for the Accord and Civic that took the top two slots (along with the CR-V at #9) among the 10 Most Awarded Cars of 2017.
The result of the automakers on the brands list included Chevrolet, Toyota, Subaru, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Jeep, Porsche, and Ford. The Jeep Wrangler, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Toyota Prius, Chevy Impala, Kia Sportage, and Subaru Impreza rounded out the list of the most-awarded cars of 2017.
