When Dodge released the Ram SRT-10 back in 2004, most people probably thought it was bonkers. We wouldn't be sure how else to describe a pickup with a Viper engine. Still, at least one person thought that wasn't enough, so he built this one.
Where the 8.3-liter V10 in the “standard” Ram SRT-10 produced 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft (712 Nm) of torque, this one is supercharged to the tune of 613 hp and 628 lb-ft (851 Nm). All that muscle and twist is channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed Hurst shifter stretching on a long neck from the floor. And with nothing but an empty bed over the rear wheels, it's got to be a heck of a beast to handle.
The Paxton Novi 2000 supercharger wasn't the only upgrade, as the custom truck also features a water-to-air intercooler, upgraded fuel system, adjustable front suspension, MagnaFlow exhaust, and more.
With 10,000 miles (16,093 km) on the odometer, the vehicle appears to have been rather well maintained, and recently sold at Barrett-Jackson's Northeast auction for $36,300 – which wouldn't even be enough to get you into a new Ram 1500 Sport these days with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Now, about that Hellcat pickup....
