Wide-Bodied Porsche Cayman With 400whp Is Enough To Forget The 911

This custom Porsche Cayman is like a dream coming true, as it features all the right specs the company’s catalogue wrapped in a beautiful wide-body silhouette.

Road Scholars took a 2008 Porsche Cayman and went berserk on it. It’s powered by a bored-out, naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six engine with 400hp at the wheels.

The Cayman GTR as it’s called also features GT3 Cup suspension, a GT3 front fascia and a full-steel wide-body conversion with 4.5 inches of extra width at the rear that makes it look just jaw-dropping.

And as a final touch they replaced the shifter with a shorter, tighter and taller mechanism that just looks awesome.

The Porsche Cayman is the kind of car that always felt like it was held back by the company, just enough to not step on the 911’s toes. Many people believe that if Porsche ever gives the Cayman a proper 911 engine, it will be the day the 911 will no longer be the king.

Matt Farah reviews the beautiful and really angry Cayman GTR in his latest One Take video.
