Buick Thinks Adding More Color To Updated 2018 Cascada Will Help Sales

Using customer feedback and advanced color trending analysis, Buick is thinking of ways to make the 2018 Cascada more appealing to buyers.

Committed to this strategy, the automaker will add three new exterior colors to the Cascada, as well as two new convertible tops. Meanwhile, the Sport Touring Dark Effects Package will be receiving two additional exterior colors.

The three new exterior colors are Rioja Red Metallic, Dark Moon Blue Metallic and Carrageen Metallic, all of which are said to align with customer preferences and global color trends.

"Color is back," says Catherine Black, lead designer of Buick's Color and Trim Studio. "While 80 percent of the exterior colors purchased globally are neutrals — black, silver or grey — many customers are starting to move away from these neutral tones and have an appetite for entirely different colors like dark navy and maroon."

Having these new color options also reflects on the Cascada's convertible top, with Ebony now joined by Sweet Mocha and Malbec on the Premium trim. Furthermore, Carrageen Metallic will be offered exclusively on the Sport Touring version, while Summit White and Ebony Twilight Metallic join Sport Red on models equipped with the Dark Effects package.

Other changes to the range include standard 20" twin-spoke black wheels across the board, as well as sat-nav.
