New Skoda Karoq Heading To Frankfurt Show For Its World Debut

Skoda’s newest addition to its SUV lineup, the new Karoq will be displayed for the first time in front of the public at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.

Replacing the successful Yeti, the new Skoda Karoq slots underneath the Kodiaq, measuring 4,382mm in length, 1,841mm in width, 1,605mm in height and featuring a 2,638mm wheelbase which guarantees a roomy interior.

The new Karoq is also the first Skoda to come with a fully customisable digital instrument panel, much like the ones seen in VWs and Audis. Skoda will also offer an LTE module and Skoda Connect Services with the new Karoq.

The engine range will include the 1.0-liter TSI, the 1.5-liter TSI with cylinder deactivation, 1.6-liter TDI and the range-topping 2.0-liter TDI, with outputs ranging from 115hp to 190hp. All versions bar the auto-only 2.0-liter TDI can be fitted with either a manual six-speed or a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

A wide range of active safety systems will also be present as expected and will include among others, Park Assist, Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assistant, Blind Spot Detect and Front Assist with innovative pedestrian protection.

The new Skoda Karoq will make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 14.
