Fans have been eager to get their hands on the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the company has just released its allocation plan for the highly-anticipated model.
Designed to discourage massive markups from shady dealers, the allocation plan will restrict the Challenger SRT Demon to dealerships which have sold more than one SRT Hellcat model in the past year. Dealers who meet this criteria will be able to order the model and their allocation will be decided based on their sales performance of the Charger, Challenger, and SRT Hellcat.
Dealers will only be able to order as many Challenger SRT Demons as they are allocated and Demons sold at or below MSRP will receive priority scheduling.
The company has set up a Demon Concierge hotline (800-998-1110) to help connect customers with eligible dealers. Dodge will also launch a new website to help buyers track the progress of their car.
Dealers can begin placing orders tomorrow and the car will be priced from $84,995. Production will begin this summer and the first models are scheduled to arrive at dealerships this fall.
According to FCA North America's Head of Passenger Car Brands, Tim Kuniskis, “We know some dealers may be tempted to sell to the highest bidder, but we are encouraging them to leverage the Demon as a halo for both the brand and their dealership, to bring customers into their showrooms and see everything we have to offer.”
