We're less than 24 hours away from the official unveiling of the new Audi A8 and the company is continuing its lengthy teaser campaign by posting an interview with Audi Design boss Marc Lichte.
In the short interview, Lichte reiterated the A8 will become the "first production model showing the [company's] future design language and, as a result, it fundamentally reflects the progressive face of the brand."
Lichte went on to say the car "embodies our vision of luxury and prestige" and will have a distinctive body line as well as a large singleframe grille that draws inspiration from the Prologue concept.
More interestingly, the designer confirmed the car will hardly have any buttons or switches in the interior. Instead, they will be replaced by a new touchscreen display that is integrated into the dashboard.
Lichte also revealed the A8 will have a unique light animation sequence. As he explained, "When the customer approaches the rear, for example, the light graphics develop across the entire width of the car." Lichte says the lighting sequence is an industry first and will help attract attention to the new model.
