You’ll Might Be Left Wanting A VW Corrado VR6 Badly After Watching This

The VW Corrado had created its own cult following back in the day and this particular example is probably one of the cleanest, most well-kept VR6s in the US right now.

Finished in purple over a black interior and riding on Speedline wheels, this Corrado certainly looks the part but it also sounds like a proper screamer, thanks to its tuned 2.8-liter six-cylinder engine.

Thanks to a really narrow V angle, VW was able to fit all six cylinders under the same cover which made it possible to be fitted transversely in front-drive vehicles like the Corrado. In this case, it also sports Shrick cams and a Wavetrack limited-slip differential.

With a kerb weight of around 2,700lbs, a set of KW V3 coilovers and 220hp to play, VW’s nimble coupe proves to be a very sweet-handling car that also happens to have one very exciting soundtrack.

Matt Farah samples probably the most well-preserved VW Korrado VR6 in the country at his latest One Take video linked below.
